Monthly Programs

SAVE THESE DATES FOR UPCOMING MEETINGS!
March 10 The March program will be a talk about growing organic vegetables by the owners of Randol Ridge Ranch. Marshall and Lucy Randol and their four children have been growing vegetables on their ten acres on Barona Mesa for the past twenty years. Marshall has a degree in ornamental and organic horticulture from Cal Poly. The ranch is entirely a family run operation

Lucy Randol was instrumental in starting the Ramona Farmer’s Market. The Randol Ridge Ranch became a certified producer so they could sponsor a certified farmer’s market. The Randols are a fixture at the Ramona Farmer’s Market where they sell organic produce from their ranch.

Petals for Patriots

Petals for Patriots is a program designed by floral designer David Root. The flowers are donated by Dos Gringos in Vista. Ramona Garden Club has promised to participate in this endeavor for the months of August and September. We will pick up the flowers at Dos Gringos, drive to a friend’s house in Oceanside where we will prepare 15 similar arrangements, load them into a car, and deliver them to a barracks for Wounded Warriors at Camp Pendleton. If you are interested in participating in this, please e-mail Barbara Kinder at kindride@sbcglobal.net Dragonfly™
