Learn About Bulbs and Search For Gardens
The Ramona Garden Club kicks off its new year on Wednesday September 8th with guest speaker Mary McBride teaching about “The Best Bulbs for Southern California.” McBride will let us know the best bulbs from around the world suited to our climate and garden styles.
A retired Master Gardener, McBride owns and operates Mary's Garden, specializing in bulbs for southern California gardens, along with an eclectic assortment of rare and unusual plants. By her own admission, she is “nuts” about gardening.
Each month (excluding July/August and December) features a program, refreshments, a door prize, and an opportunity drawing. The public is welcome. Call 760/789-8774 for additional information, |

Petals for Patriots is a program designed by floral designer David Root. The flowers are donated by Dos Gringos in Vista. Ramona Garden Club has promised to participate in this endeavor for the months of August and September. We will pick up the flowers at Dos Gringos, drive to a friend’s house in Oceanside where we will prepare 15 similar arrangements, load them into a car, and deliver them to a barracks for Wounded Warriors at Camp Pendleton. If you are interested in participating in this, please e-mail Barbara Kinder at kindride@sbcglobal.net |
